Artwork by EmilyThe Heart of Carlton is run by a husband and wife Michael and Nadeen Kelly, who have lived in Carlton for 16 years. Michael builds the furniture by hand. Nadeen cooks the food onsite.
Everything costs $4. Baguettes, pasta, curries, toasties, smoothies, coffee. All made on-site. Home-cooked meals at prices from a simpler era. On top of food, there are books to read, instruments to play, and good company to enjoy.
But why only $4?
Because the world can be cruelbut we don't have to be.
